Jerry Brown Appeals to Donors Asking Them to “Match Meg”
Dear XXXX,
Last week, we challenged Meg Whitman not to repeat the Republican primary’s poisonous tone by agreeing to a series of constructive joint town-hall appearances — to put aside the marathon of negative TV ads and instead have a real conversation with Californians about the issues.

The Morning After Isn’t Always An Unpleasant Experience

State’s June Revenue Collections Are On Track at Mid-Month
June 15th is the constitutional deadline for lawmakers to submit a budget to the governor. The deadline will be missed, as it usually is.

The Election May Be Over But Not The Chuck DeVore E-mails
Thank you. You are the best volunteers, supporters, and friends a candidate for office could ever wish to have. With your help we received more than 350,000 votes, garnering 19.2% of the vote after being outspent four-to-one.
Remarkably, according to the Field Poll, I went from having only 18% name identification in October 2009 among likely voters in the Republican primary with 7% having a positive opinion and 11% having a negative opinion of me to 49% knowing of me on the eve of the election with 41% positive to only 8% negative name ID.    Read more »

Boxer Bites – Where Are The Jobs, Barbara?Barbara Boxer has spent a lot of time running around California on her rare, election year-driven trips out from Washington touting all the “jobs” she says have been created by the economic “stimulus” plan.
