Put on Your Public Relations Guru Hats and Play This Game

Watch Meg Whitman’s Primary Night Victory speech.

Now watch that of her Democratic rival, Jerry Brown.

Ignore the substance or lack thereof. (California’s Capitol will dissect the contents of both at a later date.)

Don’t analyze. Be visceral.

Just watch.

Who is the winner?

  1. Even though I support Jerry Brown, I regretfully believe that Meg was better. She was pretty adept with the teleprompter and had energetic gesticulations.

  2. Was Jerry not available? How did they get Peter Boyle to do this from the grave?

  3. Meg’s hand gestures, while robotic, were at least in sync with her words. And she was prepared. Jerry’s “speech” reflected the attitude of someone who knew he could take the primary for granted. He’d better not make the same mistake about the general.

  4. rlee — Why would you rip on Peter Boyle? After listening to Moonbeam, less really would be more. Can’t wait to see him on Leno.
