Clock is Now Running for John, Mark and Joan, Et. Al

Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger issued the following proclamation today, declaring November 3, 2009 the date for a special election in California’s 10^th Congressional District (located in Contra Costa County including portions of Alameda, Solano and Sacramento counties), to elect a congressional representative to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Congresswoman Ellen O. Tauscher:

SPECIAL ELECTION PROCLAMATION

BY THE GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA

            I, ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER, Governor of the State of California, do hereby proclaim and order that a special election shall be held on the 3^rd day of November, 2009 within the 10^th Congressional District of the State to fill the vacancy in the office of Member of Congress from said district resulting from the resignation of Ellen O. Tauscher.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF I have hereunto set my hand and caused the Great Seal of the State of California to be affixed this 3rd day of July, 2009.
