Subject: Thank you

Dearest Cabinet Colleagues,

I have given my all for this job and I believe I have held myself to the utmost level of integrity and professionalism. I truly believe in Governor Schwarzenegger and I have made it my goal to see his policies and his agenda move this great state forward. This is why, in light of the current situation, I have decided it is the best thing for him that I resign as Secretary of the State and Consumer Services Agency in order to not distract him from succeeding in his goals.

I am extremely honored to have had the pleasure to work with all of you. You have made me proud with your exceptional performance and steadfast duty for California. I want to thank each and every single one of you for all of your hard work and I know you will continue to provide the people of this state with the very best services they deserve. I am also confident that you will help the Governor bring this state back to its rightful place as the Golden State. It has been my privilege to be your partner in the noble cause of public service. Godspeed.

With all my heart,

Rosario Marin
Secretary State and Consumer Services Agency
